Internationale Solidarität mit den Antifaschistinnen und Antifaschisten in der Ukraine!

In den vergangenen Monaten mussten wir mit großer Sorge die angespannten Ereignisse in der Ukraine und Kiew verfolgen. Nicht nur die maßgeblich von Faschisten angeführten Maidan-Proteste, sondern auch die Art und Weise des Regimewechsels sowie die allgemeine Verschärfung und Zuspitzung des politischen Klimas in der Ukraine mit dem Säbelrasseln gegen Russland hierzulande und die Debatten über den Status der Krim sind mehr als besorgniserregend.

Wir sind erschrocken über die Schnelligkeit, Aggressivität und Ignoranz, mit der hier in der Bundesrepublik von bürgerlichen Medien und Institutionen verschiedenster Couleur Faschisten verharmlost, ausgeblendet und teilweise sogar hofiert werden. Insbesondere bei letzterem ist nicht nur die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung der CDU und ihre Marionette in Gestalt von Vitali Klitschko an vorderster Front, sondern auch die Bundesregierung, zum Beispiel in Person des Außenministers Steinmeier.

Die EU und insbesondere die BRD, aber auch die USA und die NATO bedienen sich zur Durchsetzung ihrer wirtschaftlichen, politischen und militärischen Interessen rund um das Ringen mit Russland um die Vorherrschaft in der Ukraine nicht nur an den pro-westlichen Oligarchenkreisen und den Neoliberalen. Offensichtlich auch ohne Scheu arbeitet man mit bewaffneten faschistischen Straßenbanden – insbesondere dem so genannten „Rechten Sektor“ – und ihres parlamentarischen Pendants, der offen faschistischen „Swoboda“-Partei („Freiheit“) zusammen. Auch aus benachbarten Ländern und aus Skandinavien reisten vereinzelt militante Nazi-Schläger nach Kiew. Die offene Koalition mit Faschisten wollen die westlichen Akteure nur ungern zugeben, und es kommt hinzu, dass dies ein Großteil bundesdeutscher Medien der Regierung und den Parteien nahezu kommentarlos durchgehen lässt. Weitestgehend unkritisch ist auch die Berichterstattung über die nationalistische Welle und die Deutungshoheit von bewaffneten faschistischen Banden auf dem Maidan-Platz und in manch anderen Teilen der Ukraine neben der aktiven Beteiligung von Faschisten an der Übergangsregierung.

Die „Swoboda“-Partei unternimmt in letzter Zeit starke Anstrengungen, um sich „gemäßigt“ zu geben und sich nach außen als Bewahrer von „Ruhe und Ordnung“ darzustellen. Es ist ihnen und dem „Rechten Sektor“ durch eine starke Straßenpräsenz, bestehende Strukturen, finanzielle Mittel und demagogischer Propaganda gelungen, weite Teile der sogenannten „Maidan-Proteste“ zu dominieren und dadurch massiv in ihrer Anzahl und Stärke zu wachsen. Ohne Zweifel ist allerdings auch, dass die gesellschaftliche Situation in der Ukraine genügend Anlässe und Gründe hergibt, massenhaft gegen die Regierung und die Herrschenden auf die Straße zu gehen. Umso schlimmer ist dann, wenn es Faschisten gelingt, die Unzufriedenheit der Menschen zu kanalisieren und diese mangels fortschrittlichen Alternativen in reaktionäre Bahnen zu lenken. Das ist brandgefährlich.

Die letzten Wochen und Monate führen uns vieles vor Augen: Zum einen sehen wir erneut, was es bedeuten kann, wenn es keine schlagkräftige und überregionale antifaschistische Bewegung und Organisation gibt. Zum anderen müssen wir festhalten, dass antifaschistische Strukturen in Deutschland, die fähig sein sollten, internationale Solidarität nicht nur eine Parole, sondern auch praktisch werden zu lassen, noch mehr aufgebaut werden müssen. Die Ereignisse in der Ukraine sind politisch höchst brisant, denn die Rolle der Faschisten für die herrschende Klasse als willkommene Helfer in Krisensituationen zur „Drecksarbeit“ wird ein weiteres Mal mehr als sichtbar. Längst gibt es Droh- und Mordaufrufe der Faschisten gegen nationale Minderheiten, Jüdinnen und Juden, Linke, AnarchistInnen und KommunistInnen. Längst sind einige dieser Aufrufe schon umgesetzt worden.

Die Rote Hilfe hat bereits praktische Schritte eingeleitet, um die AntifaschistInnen in der Ukraine materiell und politisch zu unterstützen. Das ist eine der bedeutendsten von vielen richtigen Antworten, die wir als AntifaschistInnen auf die neuen Fragen der internationalen Situation und den Verhältnissen in der Ukraine finden müssen.

Der Schwerpunkt aller linken und antifaschistischen Kräfte in der Ukraine ist es nun, den Nationalismus, aber vor allem die offen auftretenden Faschisten mit ihren Schläger- und Mörderbanden, die jetzt zum Teil sogar nahtlos in Polizei- und Militärkreise eingegliedert wurden, zurückzudrängen und zu bekämpfen. Es ist genauso wichtig, den aktuellen Aufwind der Faschisten und Rechten mit ihrer widersprüchlichen und reaktionären Ideologie zu stoppen und ihnen gezielte Rückschläge zu versetzen. Ein unmittelbares Ziel der AntifaschistInnen und GenossInnen wird nun darin bestehen, dass die Faschisten bei den kommenden Wahlen Ende Mai mit möglichst wenig Unterstützung durch die Bevölkerung ins Parlament in Kiew einziehen. Nicht zuletzt steht am 8. Mai der Tag der Befreiung vom Faschismus an, ein Tag also, an dem auch den vielen Ukrainerinnen und Ukrainer gedacht wird, die im Kampf gegen den deutschen Faschismus ihr Leben ließen. Es bleibt abzuwarten, wie dieser Tag nach dem Umsturz in der Ukraine begangen wird.

Wir verurteilen alle Worte und Taten, die den antifaschistischen Kampf in der Ukraine durch Spaltung und Sektierertum oder sogar Querfronten sabotieren und damit den nationalistischen, reaktionären und faschistischen Kräften in die Hände spielen.

Gleichzeitig sehen wir es aber auch als unsere Verantwortung und Pflicht an, die Faschisten in der BRD und diejenigen, die sich in Krisensituationen oder zur Durchsetzung eigener Interessen gerne an ihnen bedienen und mit ihnen zusammenarbeiten, aktiv zu bekämpfen und hier in der Bevölkerung über diese schmutzige und letzten Endes auch kriegstreiberische Politik aufzuklären.

Es ist unsere Aufgabe, die Öffentlichkeit hier in der BRD über das rechte und faschistische Treiben in der Ukraine zu informieren und geeignete Formen internationaler Solidarität gegen den Faschismus zu praktizieren. Der Charakter faschistischer Ideologie und Bewegung und ihre Rolle im Kapitalismus als potentielle Stütze der Herrschenden und im schlimmsten Fall sogar als Herrschaftsoption wurde in der Ukraine ein weiteres Mal in Ansätzen geschichtliche Realität. Und auch die Signalwirkung der Entwicklungen in der Ukraine für die europäische Rechte sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Lasst uns nun Schlimmeres verhindern und die dafür notwendigen Strukturen aufbauen!

Wir senden unsere Solidarität an alle Antifaschistinnen und Antifaschisten! Gemeinsam in Gedanken sind wir im Kampf vereint mit dem Ziel einer solidarischen Gesellschaft ohne Faschismus und seinem Nährboden, dem kapitalistischen Gesellschafts- und Wirtschaftssystem.

International solidarity with the Ukrainian antifascists!

During the last months, we had to follow with great concern the news about the dramatic events in the Ukraine and in Kiev. The protests on the Maidan, led to a significant extent by fascists, are not the only thing we worry about. The nature of the regime change, the increasingly critical political climate in the Ukraine, the Western sabre-rattling aimed at Russia, as well as the ongoing debate on the status of the Crimea are also more than unsettling.

We are shocked to see the degree of immediacy, aggressiveness and ignorance with which German mainstream media trivialise, ignore or even support fascists. The Konrad Adenauer foundation of the CDU (Christian Democratic Union), their puppet Vitali Klitschko and also the federal government, represented by foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, especially excel in the latter.

The EU and in particular the FRG, but also the USA and the NATO try to utilise not only Ukrainian pro-Western oligarchical and neoliberal circles in order to assert their economic, political and military interest, as well as to prevail over Russia in the struggle for predominance in the Ukraine. Apparently, they are not ashamed to openly collaborate with armed fascist street gangs – in particular the so-called “Right Sector” – and their parliamentary counterpart, the openly fascist “Svoboda” party (“Liberty” party). There are even some cases of militant nationalist thugs travelling to Kiev from neighbouring countries and Scandinavia. The Western governments avoid admitting their open coalition with fascists. To make things worse, the majority of German media do not criticise the actions of the government and the parties. The same low level of criticism can be observed in the news coverage of the recent increase of nationalism, the active participation of fascists in the transitional government, as well as in the interpretation of the presence of armed fascist gangs on the Maidan and other parts of the Ukraine.

Recently, the Svoboda party undertakes every effort to appear as being “moderate” and to present itself as the guardian of “peace and order”. By the means of a strong street presence, already existing structures, financial resources and demagogic propaganda, they, along with the “Right Sector”, succeeded in dominating large parts of the so-called “Maidan protests” and grew massively in numbers and strength. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that the present situation of Ukrainian society provides more than enough reasons for massive protests against the government and the ruling class. This is made all the worse when fascists succeed in channelling the public discontentment onto a reactionary path, especially due to the lack of progressive alternatives.

The last weeks and months have shown us many things: On the one hand we see what can happen when there is no supra-regional and effective antifascist movement and organisation. On the other hand we have to state that, in Germany, it is necessary to even further develop antifascist structures that are able to translate slogans such as international solidarity into action. The events in the Ukraine are extremely explosive on a political level as they highlight once more that the ruling classes happily welcome fascists as helpers and supporters that do the “dirty work”. Already there are calls to threaten and murder national minorities, Jews, leftists, anarchists and communists. Already some of these calls have been put into practice.

The Rote Hilfe (Red Aid) has already undertaken practical steps to support Ukrainian antifascists on a material and political level. This is one of the most important answers that we, as antifascists, have to find in order to respond to the questions that arise in the context of international solidarity and the situation in the Ukraine.

The main task of all Ukrainian leftist and antifascist forces is to fight and push back the advance of nationalism and in particular the openly acting fascists and their gangs of thugs and murderers that are now even being integrated into police and military circles. It is equally important to stop the recent rise of fascists and rightist with their contradictory and reactionary ideology and to strike political blows. An immediate aim of the comrades and antifascists will now consist in trying to minimise the public support for fascists during the upcoming elections at the end of May. Last but not least, there is the upcoming Victory in Europe Day (8^th of May), the day we also commemorate the large number of Ukrainians who have lost their lives in the fight against German fascism. It remains to be seen how that day will be commemorated in the Ukraine after the recent overthrow.

We condemn all words and actions which aim at sabotaging the antifascist fight in the Ukraine by division, sectarianism or even the creation of a Third Position and which help to strengthen nationalist, reactionary and fascist forces.

At the same time, we consider it as our responsibility and duty to actively fight fascists in the FRG and all those who willingly use them or collaborate with them in critical situations and in order to enforce their interests. We also have to inform the public about this dirty and lastly even warmongering policy.

It is our duty to inform the public about the right-winged and fascist machinations in the Ukraine and to practice adequate forms of international solidarity against fascism. The character of fascist ideology, as well as its role as a possible supporter of the ruling classes and in the worst case as an option of government became once more partly a historical reality. The signal effect that the developments in the Ukraine send to the European Right, should not be underestimated. Let us prevent the worst by developing the necessary structures.

We send our solidarity to all antifascists! In our thoughts we are united in the fight for a society free of fascism and its breeding ground, the capitalist social and economic system.

Down with all kinds of nationalism and fascism!

Solidarité internationale avec les antifascistes ukrainiens!

Ces derniers mois nous devrions suivre avec inquiétude les évènements dramatiques en Ukraine et en Kiev. Non seulement les protestations sur le Maïdan, dominées de manière décisive par des fascistes, mais aussi la manière du changement de régime sont plus qu’inquiétants. Cette situation est encore plus aggravée par le durcissement général du climat politique en Ukraine, le bruit des bottes qu’on entend partout en Europe et les débats sur le statut de la Crimée.

Nous sommes effrayés par la rapidité, l’agressivité et l’ignorance avec laquelle des médias et des institutions allemands de toutes formes banalisent, ignorent ou soutiennent des fascistes. Ce sont surtout la Fondation Konrad Adenauer de la CDU (Union chrétienne-démocrate d’Allemagne), leur fantoche Vitali Klitschko et le gouvernement fédéral, représenté par le ministre des Affaires étrangères, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, qui se font remarquer par le dernier.

Pour imposer leurs intérêts économiques, politiques et militaires, ainsi que pour gagner la lutte avec la Russie pour la dominance sur l’Ukraine, l’UE et en particulier la RFA, mais aussi les Etats Unis et l’OTAN, se servent non seulement des cercles oligarques et des néolibérales pro-européens. Evidemment ils n’ont pas le moindre scrupule à travailler avec des bandes fascistes armées – surtout l’ainsi nommé « Secteur droit » – et son pendant parlementaire, le parti ouvertement fasciste qui s’appelle « Svoboda » (« Liberté »). Les acteurs occidentaux ne veulent pas avouer cette coalition ouverte avec des fascistes. Cela est aggravé par le fait qu’une grande partie des médias optent pour ne pas critiquer le comportement du gouvernement et des partis. La vague nationaliste, la présence des bandes fascistes sur le Maïdan et dans autres parties de l’Ukraine, ainsi que leur participation active au gouvernement de transition est traité avec la même absence de critique.

Récemment le parti « Svoboda » a fait des grands efforts pour apparaitre « modéré » et pour se présenter comme la seule force qui peut maintenir la tranquillité et l’ordre. A cause d’une présence forte sur les rues, des structures déjà existantes, des moyens financiers et de propagande démagogique, le « Svoboda » et le « Secteur droit » ont réussi à dominer une grande partie des protestations sur le Maïdan, à attirer des nouveaux membres et à gagner en force. Sans doute, la société ukrainienne offre raison suffisante pour manifester massivement contre le gouvernement et la classe dominante. Il est donc encore plus déplorable que les fascistes réussissent à se servir du mécontentement du peuple et, faute d’alternatives progressistes, le canalisent dans une voie réactionnaire. Cela, c’est plus que dangereux.

Ces derniers mois et semaines nous montrent beaucoup des choses : d’un côté nous voyons ce qui signifie l’absence d’un mouvement antifasciste suprarégional et fort. De l’autre côté nous devons constater qu’il faut encore plus développer des structures antifascistes en Allemagne qui doivent être capable d’assurer que des devises comme la solidarité internationale ne restent pas seulement des belles paroles. Les évènements en Ukraine sont très explosifs sur le plan politique comme ils nous montrent encore une fois que, pour les classes dominantes, les fascistes sont des assistants appréciés dans les situations critiques qui peuvent expédier les sales besognes. Il y a déjà des appels à intimider ou même liquider des minorités nationales, des juifs et des juives, des gauchistes, des anarchistes et des communistes. Déjà certains de ces appels ont été exécutés.

La Rote Hilfe (Secours rouge) a déjà pris des mesures concrètes pour soutenir les antifascistes ukrainiens financièrement et politiquement. C’est une des plus importantes réponses parmi un grand nombre de réponses correctes que nous, comme des antifascistes, devons trouver aux questions qui nous pose la situation actuelle en Ukraine.

Le devoir le plus important pour tous les forces gauches et antifascistes en Ukraine est la lutte contre le nationalisme et surtout les fascistes avec leurs bandes des casseurs et des meurtriers qui paradent ouvertement et qui maintenant sont incorporés dans les cercles de la police et du militaire. Il est aussi important d’arrêter la montée des fascistes et de la Droite avec leur idéologie contradictoire et réactionnaire et de porter des coups politiques ciblés. Le but le plus immédiate pour les antifascistes et camarades sera l’essai de réduire le soutien public pour les fascistes au minimum lors les élections en mai. Il ne faut surtout pas oublier que le 8 mai s’approche, le jour de la libération du fascisme pendant lequel on commémore aussi le grand nombre des Ukrainiens et Ukrainiennes qui ont perdu leur vie dans la lutte contre le fascisme allemand. On va voir comment ce jour va être commemoré en Ukraine après les évènements récents.

Nous condamnons tous les mots et actions qui visent à saboter la lutte antifasciste en Ukraine par scission, sectarisme ou même la création d’une troisième voie et qui renforcent les forces réactionnaires et fascistes.

Au même temps nous considérons que c’est notre devoir de combattre activement les fascistes en Allemagne et tous ceux qui se servent d’eux en temps de crise ou pour imposer leurs intérêts. Il est aussi nécessaire à informer le public de cette politique sale et belliciste.

Il est notre devoir d’informer le public allemand des activités droites et fascistes en Ukraine et de pratiquer des formes adéquates de solidarité internationale contre le fascisme. En Ukraine, le caractère de l’idéologie et du mouvement fasciste, son rôle comme soutien potentiel pour les classes dominantes ainsi que, dans le cas le plus grave, comme option de gouvernement est devenue encore une fois, en partie, réalité historique. Il faut qu’on ne sous-estime pas le signal fort que les développements en Ukraine envoient vers la Droite européenne. Evitons le pire et créons les structures nécessaires !

Nous envoyons notre solidarité à tous et toutes les antifascistes en Ukraine ! Soyons uni dans nos pensées et dans la lutte pour une société solidaire sans fascisme et son vivier, l’économie et la société capitaliste.

Contre toutes formes de nationalisme et fascisme !
